Our Story
After earning an industrial arts degree from Colorado State University, and a range of business experiences, my path ventured into metalworking in 1975.
At that time our metal medium was cold roll steel, forged into products, then finished with engraved sterling silver. These products were primarily cowboy spurs, horse bridle bits, and custom silver belt buckles.
As usual, one thing leads to another and silver jewelry of both western and contemporary styles became a major product. To produce our jewelry, casting, molding and constructed methods were used. Our jewelry was sold exclusively through shows held throughout the country.
Silver products- designing and casting- opened up many creative opportunities for development; however, it was limited due to the high temperatures required for working and casting. We began searching for an alternate method. The answer lay in the medium of pewter. Pewter demanded an entirely different working approach, but led to a more flexible product system.
Pewter, also know as white metal, is generally offered as a grey, oxidized product. We wanted to move away from the grey look, so we developed our own metal formula involving other ingredients with the normal tin base.
Our result was what we call silver pewter, and is actually a silver alloy. This material has the strength, texture, workability and look that gives us the ability to produce a very unique, high value product. We use silver pewter in our ornaments, sun-catchers and jewelry with excellent results.
We now extend to you a line of over 200 Christmas and special occasion ornaments that are unique and original. We cast them, finish them by hand, and diamond cut them to provide a look that we feel is outstanding. These items are definitely of heirloom quality. We hope that you enjoy them.
